Examination Certificates

Please keep your examination certificates in a safe place. They are often required for employment opportunities, applications to universities etc, in the future. Obtaining replacements from exam boards can be a lengthy and expensive process.

The college is only legally required to hold certificates for 12 months. After this date, they may be destroyed. It is very important that you collect your certificates when they are available. This is usually the December after the summer exam season at the Annual Awards Celebration Evening.

Students are required to collect their certificates in person. If this is not possible, a family member may collect them on their behalf, but only with signed written permission.

If you have not collected your certificates or need a replacement, please use the appropriate links below to apply for these directly with the awarding body. The school cannot reissue any certificates.

EXAM CONTINGENCY INFORMATION

We have been informed by the JCQ (Joint Council for Qualifications), the providers of regulations and examination practices across the UK, that they are planning to hold examination contingency days on:

Wednesday 11 June 2025 – PM

Wednesday 25 June 2025 – AM and PM

These will be used if a significant, unexpected event arises, and students are unable to take an examination when planned and therefore needs to be rescheduled. Of course, we all hope there won’t be such disruption and that the contingency day's will not be required.

All candidates must be available to sit examinations from the start of the Summer 2025 series in May 2025 up to and including Wednesday 25 June 2025, regardless of the dates on their individual timetables.

Examination students will not be expected to be in school that day, unless they have a rescheduled examination; however, they must be available and not away on holiday.
