Uplands gets into the Festive Spirit
Uplands Academy was delighted to participate in the inaugural Wadhurst Christmas Tree Festival, a heartwarming community event organised by Carillon Cottage, to help support the church’s work with young people.
In the weeks leading up to the festival, our creative students, guided by Mrs Ijtaba-Garcia, Teacher of Art, met during a weekly lunchtime club to create decorations for the Uplands Academy tree. Their hardwork paid off, as the tree became a wonderful addition to the festival. Congratulations to all the participants, each tree was unique and the church looked magnificent with them all on display.
The festival's opening night coincided with the Wadhurst Late Night Shopping event, creating an extra festive atmosphere. Uplands Academy choir added to the magic with a beautiful Christmas carol performance, delighting the crowds. The village looked beautiful, with stunning Christmas lights and decorations creating the perfect backdrop for an unforgettable evening.
A huge thank you to everyone who contributed to making this event so special. Our students truly brought the Christmas spirit to life!
